• Streaming Promotion is a PHP based software package I created primarily for record labels.

It is essentially a CMS and user system for streaming audio. The main use for the software is as a replacement for promotional CDs.

As with Vinyl Download, Streaming Promotion aims to reduce monthly or per release costs to record labels. Labels pay a one time fee and are then able to use the software as much as they need to.

  • In 2006 I had the idea to give away a free mp3 package with physical vinyl purchases. I approached a few labels with the idea but nothing came of it. It clearly wasn't a very unique idea as labels slowly started implementing it and by the end of 2008 it seemed like almost every label was in on it.

In early 2009 I had some time on my hands and noticed that a lot of these labels were paying much more than they had to in order to provide the service. So I created a low cost alternative so the labels that struggle so hard just to break even had the ability to provide such a great service.

The software installs on most Apache/PHP/MySQL servers and I kept everything very simple for good accessibility.

  • This webapp is a work in progress and will have new features added here and there. The basic start to the app is news, tour dates and access to the rest of the site with an easier navigation.

The webapp is built on the iui framework,

The site is based on www.deathwishinc.com which was designed by Jacob Bannon.

  • A quick resume site for Ryan Mills. Ryan designed his own site and I put it together with XHTML, CSS and jQuery.

  • Quite possibly the largest and certainly my favorite project that I've ever taken on, the Deathwish Inc. website first went online in early 2007 and is still in a constant state of change. Deathwish do an amazing job of maintaining their website with fresh content and coming up with new ideas.

Although the code may not be the best 3 years later (thanks IE 6), it still features great cross compatibility and the vast majority of the site (including the estore) even works on mobile safari.

Designed by Jacob Bannon. Estore built on Miva Merchant. Forum built on Phorum. Custom CMS.

  • Bikes on Wheels is one of Toronto's most popular bike shops. With a great location in the heart of Kensington Market they service and sell mostly commuter and urban style bikes.

They wanted a clean looking website that would be very easy to maintain so I started with a simple custom CMS and finished it off with simple standards based XHTML and CSS. Nothing terribly fancy here, it just works.

They may still be working on adding their own content, but they hope to have the website completely filled by spring 2010.

  • Converge are one of the best hardcore/metal bands in the world. I've been building the official Converge websites for a number of years, although this latest incarnation is more of a one pager.

This latest website was created so that they could document the recording of their new album "Axe to Fall" in a simple manner.

Look for there to possibly be a full website before the release of "Axe to Fall" in October.
